A remote access VPN means your remote employees can log on to your office network from anywhere — home, traveling, in transit — that has access to the internet. They then have access to all your company resources, and somehow your data is *still* secure, even if they’re using (gasp!) public Wifi.
I'm trying to find the most effective way to allow for a connection back to my home network so I can see a video stream on a local ip camera. The server is I'm trying to tunnel to is on a subnetwork under 2 routers (dish provided, then my dd-wrt). I'll try to explain. When I'm working from home, both computers are connected to my WiFi. The company computer then connects up to the company network, and it's set up to do that on its own so I think it must have its own VPN. As far as I can tell, my home computer doesn't connect to the company's network, and there's no VPN at the router level. Yes I know i can use openvpn client on raspberry, and connect my devices to it's wifi access point. But my concern is using it as a tunnel. I want raspberry to tunnel internet to vpn server, and use my internet through my router. When I connected to the WiFi and turned on my VPN, I was disconnected from the network. When I turned off the VPN, I reconnected. If I turned the VPN back on, I instantly get kicked off the network. EVERY SINGLE TIME!
